Summary

I made this tool to remove the bearing retainer/ring inside of the chainring guard on my cyc photon's housing There was some debris that made it's way inside that was making a "squeeking" noise that was driving me nuts. I made a separate tool to remove the guard. I'll link below:

I used 30mm m4 screws I had laying around. No need to thread the holes, just use a power driver, they'll self thread. Adjust depth of screws as necessary so that the cup lies flat against the housing... 3-5mm should suffice. I only need to use 4 of the holes/screw pins to remove the retainer.

I intentionally printed the bb cub "adapter" gear separately for the additional strength once inserted... I CA'd the gear in place. It uses a standard bb cup tool to driver attachment. In my first use, it easily managed the 45nm torque requirements indicated on the retaining ring.

I printed around 200 degrees, I generally print a little hotter, but I found a little too much warping on my first print with that much infill. I did use a brim.
