The telescope cover is for use with a 8" Newton or RASA telescope.
Covers in other sizes can be adapted.
Size up to 10" incl. lightbox was tested, yet 10" version is already very heavy due to the acrylic plates of the lightbox.
Printing the cover requires a 3D-printer with at least 300x300 of bedspace, otherwise the design has to be adapted.
Control of the cover and the lightbox is done via ASCOM utilizing the software and drivers by jlecomte:

Perform the soldering according to his instructions as well.
To get the 270° motion I needed to use a 300° servo. I tried a 270° servo, but it would not achieve a full rotation. Adjustments to the Arduino code for opening an closing may be required.

The Lightbox acrylic plates were taken out of a 24W Led lamp: (https://tinyurl.com/4735u8zf)
For illumination a 12V Led Strip was used: (https://tinyurl.com/2ssxxdyf)
It is recommended to adjust the Voltage down to approx. 9V-10V to reduce brightness.
Be aware to limit the voltage for the Servo according to its specs.
Further adjustments to the brightness can be done in software as well.
Required software:
As per github by jlecomte. It is recommended to read his instructions on how to wire the microcontrollers and install the ASCOM drivers.
Use one microcontroller for the cover and the other one for controlling the light.

Post-Printing
Flange needs to be glued to the cover.
It put some additional 3D-models for different OTA sizes, a 15mm longer version of the motorbox and a cover for 10" Newton in as well.
For the 10" cover a 36W LED lamp has to be scavenged and the acrylic plates have to be cut to size without damaging them to fit on a 350x350 printer.
