Summary

This is my idea of how a jig for the Festtool Domino might be without giving out that huge amount of money they are asking. I thought about Different Bit sizes and since I dont know actually what the dimentions of a domino Tenon is. I made an educated guess. I am sure this could be improved upon if I had some Tenons.

2x m4x25mm nut and Bolt

Post-Printing

Jig Base plate

The Jig base plate is printed with support. This must be removed after the finished print. These are needed only when you print this on the bed laying down. If you print it standing up then no support is necessary.

How I Designed This

My thought Process

I was looking at the price of the Festtool Domino machine. I have seen many solutions to have an alternative in price to the machine. I then saw a print on thingiverse which is interesting but I was thinking about something that if you let the router go it wouldn't fall off. So I tried to make a jig that did the same but utilizing a base plate that needs to be mounted on the Makita drt50 Cordless Trim router. If you have a different router it may be possible to make a base plate for your individual router as long as it fits on the jig base. I also made 3 stops in the base. One at 30mm width, 40 mm width, and 50mm width(this is just the part where I had to guess what the width of a domino tenon was). You can also use it at almost any width but expect that it might slide when using to much strength in moving the router.
