Summary

Replace your stock FT-60R NiMH battery case with 2 18650 protected cells. This is still "in design" because I haven't field tested it yet but this has been through a few iterations already!

NOTE:
This print has been designed to use protected 18650 cells. These cells are longer than raw cells due to the additional circuit board enclosed. I used these but all of the protected models are roughly 70mm instead of the 65mm unprotected cells.

NON-PRINTED PARTS:

I used epoxy to attach springs I cut out of some 18650 battery cases (These are what I used, but I'm confident better prices are elsewhere).
I flattened some 14 gauge solid copper wire for the radio contacts. Better solutions probably exist, but again I used what I had on hand.

WARNING: The files are intentionally aligned at 45 degrees. This is required to have sufficient strength for the clip. Printing flat will lead to a layer line right where the clip wears along the part. I know because the part failed there during testing.

This print is primarily made of 45deg overhangs. In order to ensure this prints well, I recommend an extrusion width of 2.5x your extrusion height or more.

Additionally, the center of mass is not along the base, so if you have bed adhesion issues, consider adding additional supports to prevent the build from falling over. Mine did not fall, but my bed adheres quite well.
