Summary
I needed an riser for the filament sensor because I had installed a dual gear extruder. I had already used the filament guide before and then adapted it for my combination.
For stability, I recommend printing the filament guide/riser on the side as it is already positioned in the .stl. I used tree supports.
The screws that came with the filament sensor are too short due to the riser, which is why I used M3*25 screws.
