Summary
most camera mounts and camera gear uses 1/4-20 UNC threads, so I developed a ball and socket joint to allow camera mounts to be used on both WALI (and compatible) monitor stands and Nexel (and compatible) Wire shelf units
I mainly did this as I needed to reduce the amount to 1/4-20 hardware that I had, because I am switching to metric hardware for future designs
it is highly advised to print this with 100% infill, and even then you need to use metal backing plates for the socket plates, 1/4" x 1/25 fender washers work, but look ugly (and I am too lazy to trim them)
almost all hardware is 1/4-20 1 inch and 2 inch bolts, regular hex nuts.
