Summary

This is an adapter that I made to fit larger cups / mugs in my 2022 Ford Bronco (manual transmission cup holder configuration).

I have tested this to fit Yeti mugs and Yeti plastic water bottle. Unfortunately it does not fit Nalgene bottles... if I'm feeling ambitious I may update this "bronco" adapter to be compatible with those.

The adapter is designed to fit snugly into the bronco's cup holder - I am not sure what other vehicles this might fit in. The base of the adapter has a diameter of 80mm (3.15in).

This was designed to be short enough to print on a MP Select Mini. I've printed it in PETG and PLA. I suggest using PETG because the model is prone to cracking around the base of the mug handle opening (although I've attempted to reinforce this area).

Printed with 3 walls, 0.3mm height, 40% infill. I was using the stock nozzle on my MP Select Mini (0.4mm). I've also printed this with an Elegoo Neptune 4 w/ same settings and it turned out much better.

How I Designed This

I designed this in FreeCAD. It's my first FreeCAD project... go easy on me :)

This is actually the 7th iteration, if you can believe that. The first 6 failed in one way or another, usually due to cracking around the mug handle opening.
