Summary

It's blasphemy, I know. But I have the Ford FITS system in my Maverick work truck, and I think it's a clever design. One mount, that's very easy to print, and many optional accessories you can mount to it. Remove the rubber mat at the bottom of the GMT900 dashboard cubby and you will find two holes. This bolts up through those and makes for a very sturdy mount that is swappable between accessories without tools. I printed mine with PETG, 3 walls at .6mm line width, 6 top and bottom layers, 25% cubic infill and it feels very sturdy. I used M6 hardware, about 20mm long, but if you're into barbarian units then 1/4" or 5/16" should be fine too. Realistically you probably only need the one bolt in the back to keep this securely in place, it wedges into the cubby pretty snug.
