Summary

This is a small picture frame with customizable dimensions. It will not work in the online Customizer because the online Customizer doesn't support something I'm doing, not sure what. You must install OpenSCAD to use this project.

This is designed for easy printing. You shouldn't need supports. You might need a brim depending on your situation and the frame width.

It has an optional stand, and can also hang from little holes, or you can glue magnets to the back. It can work in landscape or portrait orientation. When using the stand, there are two ways to insert it, one for landscape and the other for portrait.

You can also optionally export a compatibly sized mat board and backing piece, which you will probably want to print in different colors than the frame.

This should work with nearly any material. There does need to be a little flexibility to clip the back into place, so a brittle resin might not work (at least not for the back pieces).

Post-Printing

Assembly instructions can be found on the webpage referenced in the instructions.

There was a bit of trigonometry involved in getting the stand to open out to just the right angle, and to make it so the stand can be inserted and removed when it's flat against the back, but held securely when it's pulled out to support the picture. Note there's a little bump between the prongs at the top of the stand, positioned and angled so that the prongs nest into a hole when the stand is pulled out, but are free to move sideways when the stand is flat.

I'm working on other multi-part models that must be assembled after printing, and I think I will do more using the paradigm I used here, of having an "assembly diagram" view and a "printing" view.
