Summary

Print in place nozzle box with customizable sizes for MK8 type short nozzles (MK8, MK-ST, etc.). Lots of nozzle boxes out there to choose from but none had the correct space or customization I was looking for. Had some basic requirements:

Hold enough nozzles to have on hand for a complete set of printers.
Simple enough design to allow for the nozzles to sit firmly in the slot but easy enough to remove when needed.
Have a lid. No falling nozzles or issues with moving it about.
Must be able to identify the row of nozzle sizes easily. Preferably changeable at any time so a row can be removed to add a new nozzle size.

Some designs came very close, but nothing really met all the requirements. Which was a surprise with all the different nozzle cases out there. After a recent purchase of spare nozzles, I set about creating this design from scratch in a short amount of time. Printed several versions to test it out and get the spacing just right. I'm sure I'll tweak it a little more in the future. This final design seems to fit the need for now.

This picture is from a next to last design with a clip flaw. Fixed in this final version and I'll try to update the picture soon.

No Special print setting other than 'No Supports Needed'. Printed this several times in PTEG and PLA with no issues. Unless the filament has extreme spanning issues then it should print without supports.

The numbers are simple plates that can be printed with different colors. For my Cura slicer it was easy enough to put a 'Filament Change' post processing script for layer 13. This would prompt for a change of filament at the point the numbers started to print. Printed the numbers all together at once and individually without issue this way. They just slide in and out of the slot with a little snug fit to hold them in place.
