Design and Printing

I used Fusion360 to create a custom Amiibo base, referencing one of my own Amiibos. I tried to match it as closely as possible while taking some liberties to ensure good print quality.

The base is 50mm in diameter, slightly larger than the official Amiibo base, but not noticeably so unless measured. It works well with other Amiibos and looks almost identical to the official ones if prepared properly and painted nicely!

Printing

FDM/Parted:

Smooth out the flat surfaces of the two halves with sandpaper to improve glue adhesion.
Use superglue or similar to attach the two halves together.
Once dry, smooth out the seam edges until they're flush with the model surface.
Fill any gaps or seams on the model with your chosen filler material and sand it down smoothly for painting preparation.
Paint the model with a light-colored primer (white, gray, etc.)
You can paint the Korok with your choice of colors.

SLA/Whole:

Follow standard SLA post-processing procedures.
No gluing or sanding is required, as the print is in one piece and has no layer lines.
