Summary

A Customizable 18650 Battery box.

Having tons of 18650 batteries, I modeled a 10x5 battery box some time ago using Autodesk Fusion 360 software.

In the meantime I discovered modeling with Openscad and I realized that modeling a 18650 box was not that complicated under Openscad.
The advantage is that it is completely customizable!

So here it is

If you have not already openscad, a free, light and great 3D software, use the online Customizer tool available here to generate the stl file.

But the best is to use openscad, it's much more efficient and faster than using online tool :

1 - Open the 18650_case.scad file
2 - Edit the paramaters that are at the beginning of the scad file to personalize your battery box
2 - Clic on the "calculate rendering" button (or press the F6 key)
3 - Once the render calculation is complete, clic on the "STL" button (or press the F7 key), this will generate the STL file.
4 - That's all !

Un boitier de batteries 18650

Possédant énormément d'accus 18650 (pour beaucoup issus de la récup), j'avais réalisé il y a quelques temps un boitier batteries 10x5 à l'aide du logiciel Autodesk Fusion 360.
Entre temps j'ai découvert la modélisation avec Openscad et j'ai réalisé que modéliser un boitier 18650 n'était pas si compliqué que ça sous Openscad.
L'avantage avec openscad est que le boitier est complètement paramétrable !
Le voici-donc

Si vous n'avez pas déjà openscad, un logiciel 3D gratuit, léger et génial, utilisez l'outil de personnalisation en ligne disponible ici pour générer le fichier stl.

Mais le mieux reste quand même d'utiliser openscad, c'est bien plus efficace et performant qu'utiliser l'outil en ligne Customizer :

1 - Ouvrez le fichier 18650_case.scad
2 - Modifiez les paramètres qui sont au début du fichier scad pour personnaliser votre boitier batteries
2 - Cliquez sur le bouton "calculer le rendu" (ou appuyez sur la touche F6)
3 - Une fois le calcul du rendu terminé, cliquez sur le bouton "STL" (ou appuyez sur la touche F7), cela va générer le fichier STL.
4 - C'est tout !
