Summary

So looking around on the various sites, I gathered dry box ideas and parts from all over and with a need for keeping my filament not only dry but clean and in an overhead bin.
I have 41 printers and almost all are fed with overhead dry boxes. This keeps commonly used filaments in reach of all my printers and I can change out filament on a printer with ease.
To start this box, I used Sterilite boxes found at hardware or department stores that have at least 4 or commonly 6 lid latches and a sealing lid that has a rubber seal around the lip. This makes the box dry from all moisture. See below for links.
Next, Spool holders that use 608 roller bearings are used to keep the spools rolling inside. Determine your need and print 2 spool holders for each spool. The enclosed spool holder was customized by me from a listing that I cannot locate now. I added a higher side to keep the spools from jumping out of the track.
To hold the spool holders, I use a 5/16th diameter threaded rod available at most hardware stores in 3 foot lengths. The rod holders and 608 bearings are designed for that 5/16th inch rod. Place 2 608 bearings into the spool holder and then pass the rod through the bearing hole. Screw on 2 5/16th inch nuts, one on each side of the spool holder. Wash rinse and repeat until you get all your spool holders in place. Pay attention to the higher side on the spool holder, the lower side goes on the inside where the spool rides.
Set some of your spools inside the spool holder to set the distance and adjust accordingly.
Cut the rod to the length you will need.
Print 4 Rod holder plates and 4 counter plates. Screw the rod holder plate onto each end of the rod until the rod is almost through. Then install your rods into the box by lining them up where you want them and drilling 3mm holes through the drybox side in a pattern matching the plates. Use 4 3 mm screws and nuts through the 2 plates and dry box walls to secure the rods.
Print one each Filament Tap Bowden M6 and nut for each spool you are putting in.
Purchase M6 Bowden Tube fittings to screw into the tap. If you dont want to use Bowden tube fittings, just run the filament through the wall of the box with the Filament Tab and nut.
Personally,. I like to have both side and bottom exits for my filament. This way I can choose where it goes to. See photos.
If you need supports for the rod in the middle, print several Rodholdermiddle supports to keep the weight of your filament from bending the tubes down.
To finish off your drybox, purchase Hygrometer devices (link below). Print 2 holders per box and install one on the inside visible to the outside and one on the outside also visible to the outside. This way you can compare humidity levels in your room and in the box.
Some have mentioned putting Desiccant all over the bottom on the inside of the box but that seems too messy. I use Desiccant spool center jars placed in the box with rechargeable desiccant.
I use wire racking and shelves to keep my dry boxes above each printer. You can choose your own method. The wire racking works well, I feed the filament through the spaces...

Print settings can vary according to what you would like to use. There is no real danger of breaking the holders so PLA would work just fine.
