This is a Convoy Escort Ship.

Right off the bat, the completed model with all the Anti Fighter Batteries was way to much file Date to upload. So this is where models get to complicated for platforms like this.

So the Cargo Vessels they are designed to protect. I would estimate 2 for every new Cargo Ship. Make no mistake, this is a frigate that has been heavily modified to suit this role. The mission of the ship is specifically to defend transports and Cargo Vessels in a Convoy formation during War time. A good reference in Naval lore would be the Arctic Convoys of WW2. This ship is designed as a modified frigate and stretched to acomodate the shear levels of firepower and numbers of raiders that would attempt to destroy supply lines in an action like this. Formation wise, the Cargo ships would be at the center, with Cruisers surrounding making the second ring, then at the outter edges, these ships.

This is an unexplored story line. So a remix plug in would be a good spot in a future reimagining of the story.

You will need to use some pretty good scaling skills to match the guns to the ship. There are 40 of the Gun 8 Barrel Sensor Driven Batteries. It actually to longer to design the guns, than the ship.

Make no mistake, these are Frigates in nature with a sub designation of Convoy Escort. The firing sequence for each turret would be 1 right top 2 left top 1 bottom right 2 bottom left. They have a 90 degree elevation and 360 degree rotation.

There are also light armillary Ship to ship guns down the center axis to handle that situation. I have many different gun configurations at this point, so mission oriented configurations are in the works, as well as different configurations of the ships them selves. So please keep an eye on this one if you like what you see. Hit the collect button so you can stay posted. This ship has 1 engine so it can maintain pace with the Cargo Vessels.

Upcoming variants are in the debate phaze. So i'm not going to say what's next as I have to leap into this rabbit hole. 6 Variations of the Hull are in the works.
