Summary

Remixed version of the PPG from Babylon 5

Designed for a FDM printer. Each part is now individual for better printing, finishing and painting.

No "screws" are on the models. Instead the are 2.5mm holes. Drill them out with a 2.5mm drill bit and then thread them with a M3 tap. You can add your own screws for a better look (I recommend M3 dome head hex screws and maybe some M3 grub screws for the smaller ones)

The screw holes also aid in aligning everything when gluing up.

Some screws may need to be cut short to avoid interfering with the power cap.

The original muzzle had a very fragile bit underneath. I snapped it on my first print.
This version has a gap where a rod of metal can be glued in place and filled over.
I used a small nail (1.6mm diameter) which I cut the head off and filed down.

Cap and body have a 7mm x 3mm hole in them for a magnet. Make sure you get the polarity right otherwise it'll push the cap out!

Sliced in PrusaSlicer, I created custom supports for all overhanging surfaces on the muzzle, cap, and heat sink. I then set it to use organic supports.
Everything else was printed with no support.
