Today we’re going to discuss the Q Ships, or as Britain in WW1 referred to them as “Mystery Ships”. Long story short, this was a merchant Navy Vessel which was modified to fly a peaceful nation flag, lore an enemy submarine into to point blank range and sink it, by all means nessisary. They were off the registry ships, meaning White Hall had no official knowledge of them. They used Decoy ships to lore in the stealth like subs and sometimes ships.

Great story, but what does it have to do with Babylon 5? Well these would be my take of them in the Babylon 5 World War like Universe. So this would be another Earth Force attempt to use an old trick on a new enemy. Would that surprise you during the Earth Minbari war period? It shouldn’t. So here we have it, a Merchant Vessel with Nova guns, smaller albeit but the same number. One could imagine what the other cargo areas contain, mines, lasers, nukes, what ever you want. It’s up to you. I named the vessel the Emdem by accident because thats a cool post Geneva history lesson as well worth reading about.

The idea was simple, a too good to be true Convoy for the enemy, some decoy ships and the Q ships. Let them come, blow them away. Last note, the Royal Ensign (British Naval Flag) was raised before activities started. Can’t break with all tradition. THIS IS WHY WE HAVE THE GENEVA CONVENTION. People are creative lol!
